Windows Live / MSN Messenger 8.0

Over the past few days, several sites have been stating that Windows Live Messenger has been released to the public. This is definitely not the case, Live Messenger 8 is not available to the general public yet.

Most of these sites link to the Windows Live Messenger BETA sign-up page, which requires you to enter your email for a chance to join the currently private BETA testing program.

In conclusion, Windows Live Messenger 8 is not yet available publicly and still need to sign-up for the BETA program in order to authorize your e-mail address and be able to log into Live Messenger 8.
